March 4, 1925 – Calvin Coolidge becomes first President to have Inauguration Broadcasted

On March 4, 1925 Calvin Coolidge’s Inauguration is broadcasted over live radio. That makes it the first ever Inauguration to be broadcasted. This event is the first of many events to be broadcasted to the public, later in history.

Born on the 4th of July, 1872, John Calvin Coolidge Jr was the 30th President of the United States of America. Coolidge was elected Vice President in 1920 on the ‘ticket’ with then President Warren G Harding. Harding died in office thrusting Coolidge into the Presidency unexpectedly although Harding won the next election and in 1924 became President
